My Ideas for my car and will the trans hold up?

My Car
Stock 3800 Series 2 N/A Motor

Want to put on

-Cone Intake
-Top swap (M90 SC, Ported LIM, Ported Heads with port match to LIM)
-Intercooler??
-Higher volume fuel rail??
-3.0 Pulley
-Stainless steel and teflon coated fuel lines
-255 lph fuel pump
-Bigger Injectors (36#??)
-Headers
-High flow cat and exhaust
-E85 tuned PCM

My transmission is good besides that it is missing 4th which is fine since i don't do much highway driving but I'm afraid it won't hold up to the added power with the mods i want to do.

Also any input on the mods I am thinking about doing would be appreciated. I'm hoping running E85 should prevent any KR and also keep the engine temps down.

I'm still not sure about what injector size to go with and if i need a higher volume fuel rail.

So wait... You have a bad transmission, that went bad with stock HP, and you want to know if adding a butt-load of HP will make it worse?

what year is your car? and it probably wont hold up since your trans is already weak, 3.0" pulley is small especially on a high compression block, if your doing digs your trans wont last long. you might have a chance doing 30 mph rolls but still wont last. your best bet is to go with 42.5# injectors unless your planning on running e85 you need certain injectors for that

You'll blow up the tranny soon. If you want to run e85 then you'll want 60lb injectors.

You don't need modded fuel rails unless you intercool it. And a 3.0 pulley is pretty small for a top swap. I'd start with a 3.4 and go from there.

At least throw a new stocker in there and freshen it up. My transmission is fine, i know a guy in deep 12's on a stock trans with slicks and its fine (I do not recommend this) I think an intercooler would be a little too much, but thats my opinion. Im going to E85 and then im stopping power upgrades. How you drive it will have the biggest influence on how it stands up (i.e. dont use DRs, dont do burnouts, no wheel hopping, ect) The tune will also have influence on how it lasts.

Thanks for all your input so far. As far as the transmission is concerned i wouldnt consider it half dead from what i've heard 4th gear goes out in mostly all 4t65e trans due to the fact that GM didnt harden the splines on the 4th gear clutch hub. I am more concerned about will a stock 4t65e hold up under that power or am i going to have to build the transmission I don't have a problem with throwong another stock trans in but if there is there a stronger tranny that is an easy swap i'd rather do that so I can focus on building the engine. Im trying to eventually run sub 10 but thats much further on down the road. I'm wanting this setup with e85 to put me around mid 13's

is this a serious question...jw... dude, with the kk's ur about to rack up droppin all that in, why in the world wouldn't you just drop in a tranny first?? besides, you need hd conversion for even a good normal tranny to handle that. and if you are missing forth, your probably gonna lose the rest shortly....

I disagree with most of the people that posted in this thread. Have a feeling they don't fully understand these transmissions based on their comments. Please don't take that as derogatory guys, allow me to explain.

99PontiacGTP: His trans isn't bad, he has a stripped 4th hub shaft. It's a $45 part plus fluid and about 3 hours to replace.
GTPEddie: Why is his trans weak already? A quick diff swap and he has an HD trans.
99pgtgp: I agree he'll likely kill it, based on his heavy right foot and added power.
Hitman: Jason..I'm surprised that the master of using a 4T60 with a top swap would call a bad 4th half dead. You proved that power on the usually considered weaker 60 was possible.
BMX do you realize what an HD conversion consists of? It's just a diff. if you didn't abuse the diff with burnouts etc..likely the non-hd would be fine.

Since you are talking top swap. I'd recommend pulling the whole drivetrain out the top. That makes all your engine work super easy on a stand. Then you can also toss a 4th hub shaft into the trans super easy. And if you felt like it..the HD diff.
