My GTP vs Brand New GTP

So I thought as cars got newer, they got better? What's up with me walking a brand new GTP up and down my streets. From a 30mph roll, then I let off...he flew past and I caught right up and smashed him...Then from a stop I smoked the hell out of him. And then as I let off again...he came flying past and I just caught up and past him pretty quick. He didn't have the nicest look on his face. I've heard the new ones are heavier, but not sure. Oh and for anyone that cares to beleive me. Had a newer...not brand new, maybe like an 02-05ish BMW M3 4dr take off from a light after I was trying so hard to get him to play. He took off before I realized it..I smashed the pedal and immediatly started to pull right up to him. When I started to pass he hit his breaks...guess he didn't want to "loose" but it was obviously to late. I know on the highway things would be different...that just how european cars are. Oh I my most exciting cuz I've been wanting to smash one was an 04 GT Mustang. Too easy!

the newer ones do have more power than the 97-03's, but i think it's only like 20hp.

nice kill. i doubt it was a m3. maybe a m3 wannabe?

The 04 gtp's are 200 pounds heavier and have more aggressive torque management. Newer gtp's are around 15 flat in the quarter.

i went 14.6 with an intake and BADLY gaped plugs. i can pull on older gtp's so idk maybe something was wrong with his ???
i have an 04

About which M3..You may be right...but this kid was into the street scene and I don't think he would have a that motor for racing, unless is was all he could afford? I do know it was an M3 just by the body, and it also said it on the side.... And for the new GTP I ran...it didn't sound bad, and it was cleaner looking than my car is.

ha im just wondering, what does cleaner looking have to do with anything ??? and maybe it just had gtp badging ?? im asuming you heard the supercharger on it?? i was just saying maybe something was wrong with his or he wasent trying cause i have a newer gtp and i can pull the older ones by a couple of cars up to 90 so it just doesent sound right.

yea maybe .like my case .u think i chose to have a gt?lol.i couldn't get financed for a gtp with decent miles with $5,500 down on a $7,000 car.so thats why i just bought a gt straight out.still kinda salty about it.>(

I think it is safe to say the guy was not trying...
Or was a horrible driver..

2002 Bmw M3

* 0-60 mph - 4.5 seconds (6 Speed SMG) / 0-60 mph - 4.8 seconds (6 Speed Manual)
* 1/4 Mile - 13.1@105 mph[10]
* Top Speed: 155 mph (electronically limited)[11]
* Top Speed: 185 mph (delimited and indicated, real speed is 176mph)[12]

As for the Gand Prix my buddy has a newer one. He pulls about 2-3 cars up to 90mph on the older one's...

a good friend of mine has an m3, a o2 like the one u speak of, at the track he ran a 14.1 given that he can drive stick ok.
