My GTP vs. 04 GTO

Well here's how the story goes. I was on my way to work and was following a van. I look ahead of the van as the road takes a slight corner and I see a yellow GTO in front of the van I am following.

Now I become a little excited. I know the guy who has the GTO, not personally, but I see the car all the time. He's all the time driving it like it's the hottest crap in town, and he's a total douche kid. Now I feel like here's the time to show this clown what's up and see if maybe i can hang with the big ol LS1.

The van turns at a light and then I really get pumped. Cruising through town I continue to follow him, then comes a stretch where the highway opens into 2 lanes. I roll my window down slightly on the pass side, and gun it and head for the left lane out around him and I mash the SC in his ear, he sees I want to play and also guns it. We quickly run into traffic so we both let off and he rolls his window and asks if I wanna go. I'm like uh, yeah....duh. He motions ahead along with me thinking and motioning the same thing. The stretch of road opens up to 2 wide open lanes.

We pass the 2 stop lights in our way and slow down to let the couple of cars ahead of us get way ahead. By this time a taurus is behind me thinking wtf why are these 2 goons blocking the driving and passing lane going 45 in a 65, lol. But I get in the slow lane while he gets in the passing lane and holds up three fingers to go on the 3rd honk. I said it at the same time and we sped up to 55 mph.

I honk 3 times, and we both gun it. I immediately jump ahead by a bumper and continue to pull about a fender on him all the way to 90. I hit 3rd and he creeps back up and we stayed just about dead even all the way to 115ish due to traffic.

He goes zooming by me after we slow down and get around traffic and I catch up to him and he has his window now rolled up and won't look over, then I throw it in second and give him some s/c whining and he rolls his window down and is on his phone and just waves and looked pretty pissed.

I was pretty proud.

I finally put the guy in his place. My mods are in my sig, I can't wait to get my alky kit on with the 3.25!

Here's a pic later that night when I saw him at the walmart gas station, I was with my fiance and took a pic driving by.

i belive it. with intake and headers, stock pulley and tune, i could keep up with alot of ls1 gto's (04's) i even beat a few auto's. there to damn heavy and ive heard the stock tune leaves alot to be desired.

i got behind an auto 04 on the on ramp, im guessing it had intake/exhaust, deff had exhaust. we rolled into it, we were both low in our gears. i started to creep up on him, his car finally down shifted and he creeped out on me. if i would have had my roller rockers on then i might have had him.

i like picking on the 04's :D
 
Raced an 04 myself but it's been a while, from a light he got me out by 1 1/2 cars cause I spun, reeled him in by 80 mph and let off when I pulled 1/2 car ahead. My favorite Pontiac kill was a 30th Aniversary TA with the blue wheels, beat him by 3/4 car and he was just shakin his head. Raced a 68 400 Firebird vert once also and spanked him bad. Fun! Well, nothings more fun than eating Mustangs. :th_laugh-lol2:
 
my friend had an ls1 gto, but he also had a blower on it. that thing MOVED. mid 11s car at the track. however, when it was still n/a he had it tuned very, very well and from stock it was a whole 'nother animal.
 
That dude revs his crap and tries to act like a hardass all the time. He lives by Brian...both me and Brian have beat the snot out of that car...him and his tool buddy with the "stage 4" Cobalt SS that I let go for 2 cars around 70 then went WOT and reeled him in and passed him by 100. Both of those things are turds.

Maybe now he'll get a GTP and put a 3.0" on it with a 160*, AL103's, and a catback :D

I figured you would know of the guy. He's a toolshed with a capital T. I think his car has exhaust but that's about it. I can't stand him. Every day he comes to wal-mart and i'm outside working he takes up 4 parking spots like his car is the baddest crap around. I'm glad to hear that you and Brian also put him in his place. Nothing like a v8 gettin beat by a FOUR DOOR gtp. :th_laugh-lol3:

Oh btw, Nick when are you and Derek coming by, bring that 3.25 pulley with ya and i'll give you $65 for what we already discussed. I put on the meth.... muahahaha

he said he had magnaflow before this and love the corsa. i do think they are kinda loud but they are quiter at crusing speeds than the manaflow, but once you step on the loud pedel they get nasty. i like the tone of them.


but yea a little loud for my taste, i would not want everybody to hear me miles away. gotta keep it low key :cool:
 


all right ill remember to stay away from the '04 i havent seen too many of the '05+ lol too much snow on the ground for rich people
