• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My fusion is quicker than my Fiance's 01 GP GT need help...

Uhm did you type slang? LOL awesome! just playin around bud. Seriously though; Turbo is most expensive, supercharger is least expensive. Both great, but if you are on a low budget, sell it, and get a GTP...

Yea, I kinda wanted a GTP from the get-go but all the GTP's I could find were already beat to H311 and back so there wasn't much reason to buy one only to have to fix it back up. Plus, I really wanted a coupe and I couldn't find a GTP coupe for my price range that had decent miles and ran good etc etc. (I did find one GTP coupe, but the interior was torn up REAL bad and it already had 250k and needed some TLC).

But, I managed to find my current GP instead.

Now, It's not a factory GTP, but I'm not ruling out a future top-swap or perhaps total engine swap. That won't be anytime soon though, maybe in a year or two....:(

Im sure people will just say Turbo it. I have ZERO experience in that talk tho

So am I the only one on here thats held on to the side of a car in a shopping cart before????? I cant be lol

Can't say I've ever done that before, but there was a kid around here that tried rollerskating (with inline skates) behind a car. I wasn't there to see it, but I heard that everything was going good until he found a pothole at 35MPH. Long and short he ended up in the hospital with God-knows how many broken bones and a concussion. Luckily he's still around to talk about that one.

Yea we used to line up 2 cars have the passenger hold the cart and dude in the cart hold the car untill well either we ate pavement or we would both let go same time and whoever didnt eat rocks or made it to X point first won. There foggy memories tho..... Dumb as hell but made for a good 20 minutes

I put a can of sea foam in the GP this morning let it run for 10 minutes and drove it to work which is an hour away and I didnt get ANY smoke. Is this normal?

suppose to be 1/3 bottle in crank case. 1/3 in vacuum line, 1/3 in tank(half full roughly)
and if you put it in the vacuum line did you put 1/3 while running? once the 1/3 is in you shutoff the engine and let it sit for another 15 minutes or longer, then start it up!
if you put all of it in the gas tank with a full tank you wont see smoke.
I didnt want to put in in the crank case so i did 1/2 vacuum line 1/2 gas tank.

Yea I screwed that up I filled the tank and dumped whole bottle in fuel tank. Guess Ill get another bottle tomorrow put half in oil other half in vacuum line.

i didnt put it in the oil, people say you should do a oil change 24 hours just incase, i wouldnt want all the crud it get to clog the oil filter and seize the engine lol
youll need a busy to keep your car revved at 2000rpms-2500rpms or it will stall instantly. and dont let the vacuum line suck huge gulps of it or youll fould a plug. cover the opening of the bottle with your thumb and let it dribble out and let the vacuum line suck it up lil by lil
good luck!

To OP
read the how to mod lists running around. should cover most of the basic mods

if it is for her, then i say do nothing you should have the faster car!

if you take the GT then here is what i would do. figure out a budget and a goal. if you just want a lil more power stay NA and do the following. if you want more then topswap it.

1st:
Build a FWI
Next:
have a local shop remove the Ubend in the exhaust
Next:
a HV3

if that isnt enough you can do a front PowerLog. but if you get the HP bug then you might as well do headers and get ready to do a swap anyway
