• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

my dark green metallic 98 XGT (retired)

it ran just fine when i owned it 4 years ago. ;)

not saying it won't run fine, but think about it, the car is moving foward, so where do you think the air is going to be coming from? more air if its getting pushed into the filter, therefore aim the filter towards the front bro

He might of gained what 1hp it if that....the way he did it was fine. It's a Grand Prix not a million dollar racekar so little thought/time needs to be put into certain mods.

agreed, i just never really seen it done like that, and i was talking to my friend and he explained that to me and just thought he would have better performance if thats what he was looking for with the positioning i explained, but his ride, his choice

Intakes on other cars tend to add quite a bit of hp. For cars like Grand Prix majority of us do a intake to here the SC whine a bit more and get rid of the retarded looking stock air box.

thing is, grand prixs have a tendency to go faster than they should and adding things like that does make some serious difference at times

Please show me some type of proof of a Grand Prix completely stock vs one with just intake on it..I seriously doubt it's going much faster if at all. You can remove a seat and be faster then you would putting just a intake on our cars.

i have no proof of that because it is just a statistical thing that just happens to be a small margin of performance, if it didnt give any performance at all then i dont think the amount of people that have made them or purchased them would have done it for just the looks

Don't try to reinvent the wheel guy. Your over thinking something so simple as a intake..are there gains....sure I bet there is...will you notice the difference...probably not. There's 3 billion other things you can do to cut times. There a reason why majority of us just make a simple inexpensive DIY intake. The gains from the so called vendors intakes are full of crap...and this is coming from a guy that has a K&N intake...did I buy it expect the claimed 15hp...not at all. I caught a deal and didn't feel like making my own at the time and liked the looks better. Intake = More SC whine without having to drop pulleys to get it.

not trying to reinvent anything, and I ave a K&N as well, big fat filter, and yes it does make the whine louder, i know where your coming from, i was just trying to help the guy out a little and giving my opinion because I dont think it looks very good with a filter coming straight from the TB anyways.. but its not like he is going to listen to me, just giving advice, thats what this site is all about and for

i assure you: if i were to build another car again, if supercharged, it'd have the exact same intake on it. and it'd run fine. there's TONS of air in the engine bay to be sucked up by the intake filter.

but if i really did it, i'd have a big turbo restriction in the intake.

Yeah, I like the Eibach's too. Looks great. I think I'm gonna go with Votglands (spelling?) because of the crappy railroad tracks between my house and my work, but I love that stance though. But first I'm gonna get a transmission.

What I see is that Bio gave me a load of crap the other day saying his rotors weren't stripped. Those are definately stripped. Green is the color of turtles.. and yet the Bluecar was sent away as an NA car.. lol

At least I own a W body.

The hell it was...it had a gold throttle body, red fuel rails, a half black and peeling M90, and lots of jerry rigged parts.

Was fun.
