Ok i just installed my mail order overkill pcm yesterday drove it for a few while not beating on it, then i did a few WOT runs and it was fine, ran great, I take it for a ride this afternoon and it runs fine soo i put it in performance mode and i do a few WOT runs and everythings fine, then going up a street normally and this is what i hear. There is no SES light on and it seems to shift fine i guess. If it would help more i will take another vid of it driving. I think it may be the supercharger, i did change the s/c oil last night, i put in 2 bottles in.

super sounds like a cracked/broken flex plate. jack the car up, take off the covers, and inspect. you'll know if its your problem in 5 seconds.

it not knocking with a deep, bottom end knock so i doubt thats your problem. what is your oil pressure?

its sounds like a broken flex plate.

where are the covers located ? could it be the s/c ? would taking the belt off rule that out ? i did empty two bottles of gm s/c fluid in, doesnt it only take 1 1/2 bottles ? i have no way of knowing my oil pressure

well i took of my s/c belt and there is no play in the pulley soo it cant be the coupler.

i dont know what cover, can you get me a pic please! If it's the flexplate its not expensive to replace its just gonna be a pita to replace. It's a gm goodwrench replacement tranny it cant be too old.

flex plates on the engine so its probably just as old as the engine if you jack the front end up and look at the starter you will see a plastic cover next to it you actually have to be under the car looking up at it

i think there 3 or 4 bolts in it

Ok gotchya, well it looks like alot of people are saying flexplate soo i might get one from morad, well i wonder if it would hurt anymore to drive it down to the shop to have it installed, it's like 3 miles, i had to drive it 7 miles back home after i discovered the noise. Will the flexplate be all i need ?

the entire plate will be cracked, not missing teeth. it will be cracked from one or more of the bolt holes out.

use a flathead screwdriver to move it along, but i bet you wont have to move it far to see its cracked. just grab the edge of it and see if you can move it side to side.

Well if it's the flexplate the problem, i found them at zzp used for $40, but dont i have to use new flexplate bolts? well should i use them is the question. and if i do i dont see them at zzp.

the flex plate bolts are TTY. you SHOULD replace them with new ones (stealership trip), but you probably could get away with using the old ones and some lock tight.
