My Bonneville after my sons accident

Yesterday morning was a morning like any other. Told my son I loved him as I headed out the door on my way to the shop. Around 5:00 I got that call a parent never wants to receive.... "Your son has been in an accident". He wasn't seriously hurt thanks to the side impact air bags, thank God. The car can be replaced, my son can not. Thankful I still have him around.

Glad to hear your son is doing OK and as a parent that is one call I would never like to receive. Have a good day :)

Shows you how far cars have come. Outside crumbles to keep the driver alive. Glad to hear he survived. Awesome ending.

Did he loose it and hit a tree?

Good thing he is ok, GM H and W bodys are tanks.
It was a tree he hit. Driving too fast for conditions...it had rained most of the day. There is a branch sticking out of the rear bumper that went all the way in and was up against the spare tire.

That Bonneville was driven back up onto the road. Already looking for another one.

oh boy haha, well glad to hear he is ok, but im sure you will be lecturing him on not driving that fast lol (basing this on my own personal experiences with my parents lol).

I've seen all kinda of Bonnevilles totalled out. One of the reasons I stick with the 3800 based cars, is how well they do in accidents.

It's amazing, I rememeber tons of commercials by asian car makers about safety and MPG's. I don't remember seeing much from GM about those items..yet they did a great job on both.
