MY '98 slice of headaches

Morning all;

I own a 98 GTP all stock, 3 weeks ago had some problems, ended up changing plugs, wires, and the whole exaust system, well minus the CAT. All codes went away, and it passed the clean air test :)

Yesterday driving along enjoying the hot air here in Southern Ontario, and going up a fairly steep hill, when all of a sudden the tach dropped to zero car jerked, gave her gas, didnt do anything, and then all of a sudden it started again on it's own.
Went to a friends place, shot a few games of pool, went to leave, it cranked and cranked, waited about a minute, it started, so I went home.
Threw the 'puter on her, and here are my codes...

P0102 ... MAF or VOF A chk low input
P0137 ... O2S chk low volts
P0336 ... Crankshaft position sensor a ckt rng/perform
P0440 ... Evap control system malfuntion
P0706 ... Transmission range sensor ckt rng/perform
P1380 ... Misfire detected rough road data not available
P0305 ... Cylinder 5 misfire detected

What gives???

Please point me in the right direction, cause this is a lot of badness!!!

Chuck

Check your spark plug wires and make sure they didn't get burnt on your exhaust. I would start by inspecting #5 since that's where your misfire was detected.

Plug wires fine, still brand new, no burn marks. Onto the crank sensor, gotta wait till Canadian tire opens in an hr... at least a place to start... Thanks guys.

I would hold off on that and begin looking into possible wiring issues. All of those sensors should not go bad at once...

You said you didn't replace your cat, whats the story there? Did you re-use it or replace it? Clogged cats can cause some crazy things to happen sometimes.

When I was at the muffler shop, they did not mention anything about the CAT. I just assume it's ok, and I do not know how old it is either, this car I've had only a year, so who knows, car sits at 260,000 kms right now.

You can usually tell if your cat is clogged just by tapping on it with a wrench or something. It should sound hollow.

Well the crank position sensor changed, now my codes are...

P0440 ... evap cntrl system malfunctioin
P1380 ... Misfire detected, rough road data not available
P0305 ... cylinder 5 misfire
