• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My 98 Explorer 4.0 5spd.

RamairGTP2

They call me TriPod
I know I had originally started a thread for this truck but I can't find it for the life of me. Anyways here are some pictures from when I first bought it and then new ones today nearly a year later and after painting the stock wheels with rim paint(I did this because the rims would need to be completely refinished ) plus its my DD so.... Well let me know what you guys think..

btw I learned a cool trick from a friend of mine.... my head lights were starting to haze etc.... Instead of spending 10 bucks on a restore kit I was told to use tooth paste and some elbow grease... Sure enough after buying a 99 cent tube of whitening tooth paste with the gritty stuff in it and combining some meguiars plastx that I already had, and some microfiber clothes it worked the same if not better than a headlight restore kit. I finished the headlights off with a nice coat of wax and they look pretty good.

I would tint them but they leak so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a stock red set... They either came with yellow/red/clear or just full red with the clear for the reverse light.

My mother has a 97 AWD, 2d, black w/gray interior. 126k miles and still runs good, did have to have the a/c fixed, and reseal the front diff. Needs a "hydraulic control unit" for the ABS system,
good luck with your truck!

Thanks. Its been good to me this far.. burns a little oil when I first start it up but its to be expected when there's 153,000 on it. If this truck lasts me another couple years of daily driving I'll be happy.

I managed to find a bug/stone deflector today at the local yard for 5 bucks... I originally went out to scope out tail lights but came home with this instead.
