my 97 gt

I've had this car for almost a year now. Traded my crotch rocket for 2 grand prixs, an L67 engine and trans, and a quad.. Here are a few pics of my car. Nothing to special. Only thing I've done to the car was debadge, digital d.i.c upgrade, exhaust tips, and 2 Pontiac arrowhead stickers on the small rear windows.. everything else is completely stock until I can get some cash flow.
This is the day I brought both grand prixs home, both had rod knocks..

Engine rebuilt and back in..

Need a new hood. Hit a deer a few months back. Luckily all it did was put a dent in my hood above the driver side headlight and mess up the clear coat.

What do you guys think? It's been a great car since I've had it besides a few small problems. Next mod I wanna do is tint, but not sure how dark I want?

Thanks. She's served her purpose for me so far without to much trouble. Only problem really left is the dreaded trac off light :th_skull: but it still drives good. Wish I would of kept the L67 engine that came with it so I could of top swapped, but a buddy of mine needed the engine so he gave me $600 which helped me finish my engine rebuild.

Man thats a nice looking 4dr. My brother in law has a SE that looks almost exactly like that (except for the engine).

Thanks. I rebuilt that engine as well and then I ended up selling it to my bro for $2500 and that was a downpayment for my 2010 kawasaki ninja zx10r.. I would of kept the black one instead if it would of had heads up display like my white one. But I love my car, its not the fastest but it gets me around with decent gas mileage

I have a white 97 gt too... For tint i went 20% (i'll post pics). The tint "pops" a lot because our cars are bright white.

Damn man, our cars are like twins..lol, Minus the tips and the tint.. looks great. I've been wanting to tint mine, was thinkin 20% as well. How is the visibility at night? and if ya dont mind me asking, how much did it cost? I need to find places and call around for quotes. I live in southern Michigan almost to ohio. Closest bigger cities are Jackson, battle creek, kzoo, and Toledo

I know they are pretty much the same... tips are similar. I had the rears tinted for $160 and could of had the front 2 tinted for an additional $20 (but chose not to because the employee said he gets quite a few people back to have tint on front windows removed for fix-it tickets). It depends on your area, but if you have to pay more than $210 to have all your windows tinted I would look elsewhere.

**I got mine tinted during a summer special they were running so i think i saved like $30 or something.

I'm not sure what brand they are. I got them from my grandpas garage after he passed away and we were cleaning out hia garage. All i know is he had bought them for his trans am that he had and never got around to installing them. So I added them to mine as a little reminder of him

And hockey, thanks for the prices, I wanna go with my fronts tinted. Cops around here are cool as hell. A lot of cars are blacked out..

I don't know why but I really like the offset of 35% in the front and 15% in the back. Makes the front look darker all while staying legal. Baws. That's a really clean GT mayne. I have a white one also!
