My 91 Crustang GT

So it's been forever since I've been on GPForums, but I haven't forgotten about any of you. Since my last time being on here I have moved from Minnesota to Arizona (I'm in Avondale but soon to be in Glendale) and I've sold the Haunted Van as I know some of you have loved in the past, and I picked up a 1991 Mustang GT
This car has been one hell of a project but I still look back at it when I walk away, sometimes to think of how much I love it, but most of the time to make sure it isn't on fire :th_jester:
Lets get started with the fun parts
Here is what it looked like when I bought it

I thought "Hey the paint is faded but so what? It's an Arizona car. I'll take it"

Let's begin... The Good
Cervini aftermarket ram air hood
MSD Ignition
Fenderwell Intake
hooker shorty headers
Dual flowmaster 40's

now the negatives...
The blinkers didn't work
There was a substantial oil leak from intake manifold
Random Misfires
Clogged air filter
Bald tires
No 4th gear (AOD)
Leaking head gasket
Leaking rear main seal
Possibly leaking oil pan

So the first issue i went after was the blinkers, as it turns out the ignition switches often come loose... so I ziptied that up and have been fine ever since lol
Then the oil leak and misfires i went after at the same time.
the oil leak was the front and rear intake manifold gaskets... well if there were any gaskets, the previous owner used only RTV on those

The misfires were caused by the headers melting the spark plug boots, awesome.
So I bought some heat sock things for the plugs and new wires and we have been solid ever since

At this point the tire issue was getting worse
I would come out to this every morning

The biggest issue with getting new tires was the rims however.
EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS BENT lol
So my girlfriend and I searched far and wide for a new set of 4 lug wheels

And low and behold we found some!

In San Diego lol
We took a day trip and picked these bad boys up, 17x9.5

Now the Previous owner of the wheels had spray painted them... but black on a black car? nahhhhh
so I broke out the aircraft stripper and got to work, seemed like it took forever but they finally came clean.

and then the new tires came :)

That night I went over to Volkswagen (Where I work) and mounted them up.
It also rained that night so I took some pictures

I've done various little projects to it since then that i will upload, but i think that's enough for tonight lol if you haven't noticed i stopped capitalizing my "I's"
Here she is right now :)

It's registered with my parents in MN so i don't have emissions lololol

I hope you enjoyed this and i plan to keep it updated much more often :D

Nope! Still have the Audi, but it's the lady's daily driver lol I rarely sit behind the wheel of it anymore, but in all honesty the stang is more fun anyways lol

What part of Glendale did you move by? Im an east sider but work mostly in the west side , nice car BTW.

Heads are slightly warped and I didn't know where it was leaking exactly until I had it all apart unfortunately

And end of this month I'll be living by Westgate!

GT40 cheapo upgrade time.

Junkyard run in your future...we did a full GT40 setup for about the same price as a gasket set, I think it put down an extra 60~ whp with a little E cam too and shorty's after a few dyno pulls.

New headlights/corners/tails will really bring that look around as well. Looks promising though.

What I really want as a final setup for this is a full GT40 intake and heads, either 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers, F303 cam, long tube headers, upgraded MAF, throttle body and injectors and either 3.73 or 4.10 in the rear diff.

I think that would be a pretty solid setup lol
