Hey guys,

Been on the forum for a while, but not an avid poster. Got this car up on my garage page as well but I wanted to start this thread to walk everyone through my build. I've made quite a few mistakes along the way and I think others could avoid them by reading here.

Ill be updating this in pieces as I have time.

To begin:

I work a job that requires me to drive about 1000 miles per month in my own vehicle. In 2016 I owned a 2002 Jaguar X-type 2.5l that was giving out quickly. I short sold the car and quickly bought my 2005 Grand Prix GTP for $9000 from a used car dealership with 105,000 miles on it. Needless to say, 2 years later I know what to pay for this car.

At first the the only things I knew about cars and this car were that it had a supercharger (whatever that meant) and that it had a larger than 2.5l v6 engine. Soon after purchasing I noticed a static noise from the radio and my journey down the 3800 rabbit hole began.

I began looking online for a static noise solution (never found one) and found out that there were mods available for this car unlike my jaguar. For lack of knowledge my first mod was to be a homemade cold air intake which turned into a pretty bad 10.25 in cone intake. I did love the sound it made but I had to figure out a solution for mounting the pcm which I still have: a sheet metal strap screwed into the body. Next mod was ZZP 1.0 PCM. Still running that tune but deleted PCV codes recently.
