OK I got one, a few years back before I finished all the "little things" on my 69' Camaro, I was on the freeway and a mustang pulled up next to me. Well I for once wasn't in a racing mood just out enjoying the the good weather, windows down cruising about 65 mph. He stayed along side me for about 2 miles I sped up a little he sped up a little I slowed down he slowed down, my exit was getting closer I decided I guess I have to just go around him. Well I reached down grabbed the handle and t-bar on my B&M star shifter pulled it down to second and let the pipes growl, the mustang driver looked over at me as I punched it, the car pulled hard so hard in fact I was able to jump on him by about 6 car lengths and started crossing lanes towards the exit when my car died. A few seconds later he went by me and I rolled to the side of the highway car smoking. I jumped out and ran around to the front of my car opened the hood and no smoke... WTF? Through my cowl I could see smoke in my car so I run back around the door crawled under the dash to find I have a dash fire, that I cant reach. I punched my stereo out of the dash so I could reach the flames, pulled off my beanie and smothered the fire. Now I have a broken, burnt dash, and a car that wont start. Come to find out I did not have my battery tied down "little thing", and when I punched it my battery rocked pulled on the pigtail wire that goes to the junction block, and sent a power spike through my electrical system, ooooooooooooh joy...
So lets review:
fire
broken dash (due to stereo being knocked out)
burnt beanie (due to smothering the flames)
melted my rotor (in the cap of my distributor)
fried my coil
and lost to a Mustang (due to equipment failure)...
Thanks for the bad memory, lol
