Mods for 2007 3.8

Just bought a 2007 GP with 3.8. Looking specifically for cold air intake kit to start (don't really need performance...but hoping for better gas mileage....currently range 26 to 27.5 in combined city/almost highway driving in Alaska.

Haven't found anything that mentions kits for a 2007...any ideas?

Thanks.

Theres another member on here if I recall correctly that is in Alaska. If you are doing 27 mpg combined driving, you are doing really good.

Thanks...for the replies...I'll look into this a little more after I break it in a bit more...only has about 3,000 miles on it. I drive 52 miles each way to work...at mostly 65 to 70, but with lots of breaking and stopping on the highway due to traffic, etc. I also do more in town driving than I'd like as I bought as basically a comfortable commuter car...but mama requires errands.

Best MPG is 27.5 and worst is 24.5 (first tank). I have been hovering around 26 to 26.5 the last few tanks...but I've also been driving it a bit sportier than normal.

What kind of MPG gains should I expect with the CAI kit...all I have read in reviews is HP gains and sounds great...which unfortunately I really don't care about with this car.

I may or may not put a bit of a more free flowing exhaust on it when the time is right...meaning many more thousands of miles...any thoughts on that?

Again...thanks.

Not much MPG gains, if any. Cooler air into the engine means more fuel is used (and that's why you get more power). That's not going to help your MPG at all. If you want to get better MPG, you want a WAI (warm air intake). Pretty much a cone sitting right off the throttle body.
