• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hey guys. So I am finally starting to have christmas in July. Parts are arriving for a few days here. I will be posting pics here when I come time to build. I am currently wrapping some of my headers in the heat wrap. I got it for a steal so I figured why not.

So bare with me, pictures will be here shorly.

hey sorry its gunna be slower to get pics. and idk, i got the heat wrap for damn near free, and my buddy used it on his and its no where near as hot in his engine bay as mine is...stock.

i am not where near done, but ill keep posting as i get it done.

Its cool you got it for free and all, but since its a everyday driver and you live in Minnesota with rain and snow/salt, header wrap can trap that stuff in there and cause the headers to rust out quicker. Not saying its going to happen to you, but its very possible it could happen.

Im only doing it on the front header and cross over pipe...since thats all the heat wrap i got plus i got that silicon sealer too from DEI for free. I was worried too about the wrap rusting it out sooner, but then my buddy gave me his extra can of silicon sealer and he hasnt had a problem at all.

Remove the plastic cover for the supercharger and you might notice a difference. It is insulated and since it covers the whole top of the motor it hold alot of heat right there. Just sayin.

Clean car otherwise.

this is all i could wrap with the stuff given to me for free. i will post pics either tomorrow or the day after when the wrap is dry and sealed.

Yuck..wrap...it's going to look like crap once you get a few miles on it. Let that stainless shine and remove it no need for it.

if it comes down to that, i will remove it. but since its already on, and half is already sealed, i should just wait to see what happens.

finally got the S/C today :) still got some work to do on it. and here is the crossover pipe HT silicon sealed...just waiting to cure it tomorrow

I like it, i wish i would have wrapped mine. Wrapping the rear like that should protect your front O2 sensor wiring, i didnt use an extension and the clip is all melted (still works though)

Hey guys. Sorry for the long delay. I messed my back up real bad so I'm in op to work. I'll be finishing this shortly I hope. Question though, when I get a tune can I have my cat O2 sensor be eliminated? The headers remove the cat so there is no point for a sensor but I don't want to throw a code all the time
