Modded 2003 with blown engine..What's it worth?

I purchased this car with plans on fixing it but have decided to sell because I just don't have the time and money right now.
Its a 2003 Grand Prix GTP, clean body, 98K miles, good tires and tons of mods. The engine was knocking (broken piston skirt) l36 block, ZZP stage 3 ported heads with 105 springs, ss inter cooler, cold air intake, northstar throttle body, electric fuel pump, oversized radiator, tog extreme headers, zap trans, phenolic inter cooler. Charcoal grey leather/vinyl interior. Easy project for the mechanically inclined. Engine has been removed and disassembled. I'm looking to sell the whole package. Buy a 2005/6 L26 engine from a Lacrosse, add the goodies and you have a well modded GTP. How much is it worth??

you are much better off posting the parts as a "demod" in for sale. This topic has been discussed and beaten like an unruly red headed step child. people won't pay what you want for a pre-modded car.

As is what should I expect someone to pay. Don't assume that I expect a lot based on the mods. You never get back what you put in on a modded car. The fact that you can buy your own short block, gives you the opportunity to know what you have. I only looking for a price.

only if you take them off and sell them part out style. on the car still, its just a grand prix, ( with a blown motor)

like what you want for the ic? start there. see what i mean?

being it could use a whole new engine, just sell it as is. engine out, and then the option to buy the parts with it, or to buy just the parts.

people will buy the parts faster then your car not running with mods. only way to recoup your mod money.

The mods have value.. but on their own.. not on the car.

Unless you're selling to the right person you won't get much out of it. Even with a blown motor.

Here's my example.

I bought a 98 GTP with an intercooler, headers, Northstar TB, stage 2 intense cam, full exhaust, etc. It had a busted trans.. but with a lot of hard parts. I paid $1250 for the car.

I tore the motor apart, put it all back to stock. Sold ALL the parts except the intercooler. ( I put that on my 03 GS)

The car had 153k miles on it with Solid rockers/rear strut towers. Few dings and such. I got $2,000 out of it.

I sold all the parts mentioned above for about $2500 and then had the trans rebuilt for $550. Sold the trans by itself for $1500 (then again, it was built). I made a little over 3K on the entire deal. That's with all the parts I had to buy stock, sold, rebuilt, etc.

See where I'm going with this? engine/car mods by themselves are WAY more better suited than with them being installed on the car. Most people on this forum already have a car that they want to mod. They just need certain performance parts to achieve their goals.

Just my .02.

No performance parts add value to the car.

Ever.

Unless you find someone that is in the same market for cars.

As for the car by itself, if the transmission is good, I'd say no motor for $1000-1500~ or so would be a fair price.
