MitchieGTP's Introduction & Car

Hey Guys, my name is Mitch i am from Cambridge Ontario and i just bought a 2003 Grand Prix GTP. The car was owned by a 64 year old man and has very low mileage for the year (57,000kms--about 36,000 miles). The car is in great shape and is loaded with HUD. I bought it last thursday and took it to the local track on friday. Bone stock, with a 1/4 tank of 94 octane, spare tire in, stock tire pressure (no prep) and the dirtiest air filter i have ever seen (almost completely black, which i found out afterwards) my best run was a 14.86. It was my first time at the track with this car so i figure i can get into the 14.70s or better with some practice. So far my mods are minimal...but i have gutted the air box a little bit and put in a K&N drop in filter. With the gutted airbox, you can hear the supercharger whine a little bit more. I would LOVE to build an intake system for the car and use a cone air filter to really let it whine but i dont know how i feel about zip tieing the PCM out in the open with the winter time and salt that we use in Canada. I can see the wires within the PCM and im thinking it is in the sealed box for a reason. Anyways, any comment and more importanly suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!:th_thumbsup-wink:

BTW..im trying to upload some pics of the ride off of my computer but they're not workin...help me out here boys!

Welcome to the community.

I absolutely LOVE the fact we are getting so many members from Canada. Maybe one of these days there will be a CGPM.

Ok so i have some pictures (hopefully they work) but im new to this whole posting pictures on forums using photobucket thing so bare with me here. As you can see by the pictures I went ahead and ran a fenderwell pipe (like i saw on another thread) to go along with my slightly gutted airbox. Any comments/ideas are appreciated.
