misfire?

Thinking about buying a 2000 gtp but it has a misfire? the guys works on cars and says he think its "i dont kno 100% but im thinkin control modual under the coil packs. its something minor" does that sound right and the check engine light isnt even on?
 


A misfire could be a Ignition control module sure. It could be plugs, could be wires, could be alot of things. So its hard to blindly say whats causing a misfire
 
It's has new wires, new plugs and new coil packs as of last month so ignition control module? And how much do they run
 
and what kinda miss...not very often do these go bad and when the do they tend to miss at specific times or not work at all....also what is the car doing exactly. we all took for granted that u actually diagnosed a misfire as a misfire. give as specific account as possible of what the car does and if it changes under load and at different rpms
