Misfire, Stumble

I have a 2000 GT. It starts just fine but when you go from a stop it stumbles. It stumbles until it gets up to about 45. Runs fine after that. Going up inclines it lacks power and stumbles a lot. The SES light comes on and flashes then goes off. It is on now, the code is P300. I've looked over everything, nothing seems to be wrong on the surface. I've got new plugs and wires I'm putting on. Recently changed the air filter, fuel filter, and pcv valve. Scratching my head.:confused:

How's the idle? Frm what I can tell, that's funky/vague to diagnose. Maybe a Tech2 can get some more info. Some easy suggestions that are just good to do anyway: Clean MAF, clean throttlebody, new throttlebody gasket, run a bottle of GM fuel system treatment...

p0300 is a random misfire and the check engine light blinking means catalyst damaging misfire. just change the plugs/ wires and youll be good.

It idles fine, but at times will stumble or surge. When I turn on the a/c it gets worse. I cleaned the MAF a couple weeks ago.

Well I changed plugs and wires. It still was the same. I had the ICM checked. That was it. Repalced it and the coils. Runs real good. Thanks for all the help.

Just curious, how do you test the ICM? Is this something you need special equipment for?

sorry i was late on this, but i was gonna say icm, or coils right away. i had this happen a couple times at work, seeing as i work at advance auto. guess its not that uncommon to go on these motors :th_shakinghead2:
