Misfire in reverse?

i have an 02 grand prix se with the 3.1, what would cause it to start misfiring when i put it in reverse? i know its misfiring because all i smell is gas when i have the windows down
 


That doesn't sound like a misfire... it sounds like a leaky fuel line that gets pressure to leak when in reverse. Might be wrong..but this may be worth looking into.
