I'm not sure if anyone has linked to this or not but here is a great step by step guide to troubleshooting a misfire code due to plug wires, coil packs, or ignition control module. I strongly suggest buying a ignition tester for HEI ignitions. This is a cheap tool but puts the maximum electric load on your wires, and coils to detect intermitten problems. Hope someone gets good use from this. It saves a lot of time and money, don't waste money on coils, plugs and wires unless they are bad...
