Minor cruise control problem only when it's cold

Hi everyone, newbie here. I've had a 2007 Grand Prix for about 20 months now and entering my second winter with it. I've got a weird problem where if the temperature is cold (<25 degrees F or so) when I hit the increase switch on the cruise control, it just shuts off. The set button still works no problem, and the increase button works perfectly during the warm parts of the year. Anyone know what this might be? My first thought would be a wiring issue but why only when it's cold? Thanks in advance.

I've seen this type of behavior myself. There's a spot in the switch that doesn't read the right thing and it's essentially turning your cruise off. Likely you need a multifunction switch to be replaced to fix the issue.

I think my car did this when I first bought it. It went away and I forgot about it. You could replace the whole multi function switch but that is kind of expensive.

Rockauto has it listed as Delco for either $19 or $21 depending on fog lamps or not.
