Ya I guess my only thing would be how much do the tools cost to do something like that?

Lol well I have to get a core first and the person that rented me the tools would have to show me the best place to get the rebuild parts and some pretty good how to's haha

I think whoever would rent the tools to you would include the rebuild manuals and tech bulletins as part of the tools... Hopefully at least.

For the actual parts, I would say go with TEP. They have all different levels of rebuild kits that would have everything you could need.
 


Ya I was looking at their website and it seems I should be able to get an upgraded rebuild kit and everything I need for 400-500$ and then go to a junk yard and grab a trans for maybe 200 or something. Boom brand new rebuilt trans for700$ that sounds pretty good

You're not too far off. Did you figure in the cost of a new TC and chain?
 
I did not factor that in although since my trans is still good I'll save up a little longer so I can buy some nice hard parts. I want to build a 300whp capable tranny. I'll probably throw a new torque converter in too.

BrandonHall10 built me a tranny for my turbo build. Drives great and handles the power flawlessly!!! Maybe if you ask nicely he'll build you one too 😉

Ya I'm in contact with Brandon unfortunately I think he's done building trannys at least right now but he has offered to help me with advice and a tool rental 😊
