Milwaukee Impact Wrench -- Mid or High Torque?

Gentlemen, I'm on the fence about which impact to buy so I figured I'd see if anyone here has input since it will be used mainly for working on the car. I'm definitely going with Milwaukee since I've been extremely impressed with their stuff over the years. I was going to get the mid -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5OH6TV..._t2_B0754MTTCL -- because of it's smaller size and good torque, but then I was thinking I might regret not getting the big boy -- https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-276...=%222767-22%22 -- because bigger is always better right?

I'd like something that will allow me to remove any nut/bolt on the GP (and future cars) without hassle and I'm not too concerned with price. I'm leaning toward the high torque just for the hell of it lol. What do you guys think?
 


Buy the bigger one, it's hardly any more money.

I've used tons of different brands from working in several shops and the more powerful electric impacts are always better and faster, last longer.

Though I hardly grab the most powerful gun to do most jobs but it's something I want when I need it. The smaller impacts that do 100-150ft lbs do just about everything else.
 
I have a few milwaukee impacts. I use the high torque often on suspension parts or rotating tires. I have the 1100 lb ft version. They have a 1400 lb ft version now.

It's great with rusty parts or really big bolts. But as far as working on an engine, especially a 3800, it's almost too much. It's really big and heavy. I almost always use the smaller m18 impacts. I have a m12 impact that's really handy too.

They do have a 3/8 impact ratchet that just came out as well. The regular 3/8 ratchet is really handy, so I'm excited to try the impact version.
 
Yeah the 1400 ft-lb is what I was leaning towards but was concerned about it's bulk. I really only want it for lug nuts, suspension, brakes, crank bolts etc. I usually use hand tools and my little Milwaukee driver if doing work on smaller stuff.

The 1/2" mid torque is rated at 450 ft-lbs tightening / 600 ft-lbs "nut busting" torque which on paper sounds good but who knows how it actually performs on 20 yr old rusted crap. I think I'm going with the high torque. Thanks for your input guys.
 
Well, I wound up going with the high torque model 2767-22. All I can say is...WOW this thing is an absolute beast.

I got to test it out today while switching out a crank position sensor and it literally had the crank bolt out within seconds. Lug nuts were a breeze as well. If anyone is on the fence like I was go with the high torque model, it's worth the extra coin. And it's not as big as some reviews make it out to be, it's got some weight but it's more than manageable.
