• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hey guys, I purchased a 2005 Impala S.S last July with 85k miles on it. I have recently started playing and modding my car but am sure to do my research prior. I'm still pretty newbie but everyone starts somewhere. My next main big project is to get my Speed Daddy headers installed, I work at a big dealership (of which I will not reveal lol.) I have permission to use one of the tech guys equipment one of these weekends and hopefully it will go smooth. I have been soaking my header bolts in PB Blaster hoping they wont break off/come of easy. For the most part I'm like :th_nervous: till I get the damn things on. They have been sitting there penetrating my eye sockets for too long..they NEED to go on..or I may loose it.

Anyways, I currently live in Wisconsin and always looking for knowledge on the W-Body 3800 platform (I'm hoping this is the right spot.)

I have found this article rather amazing and read every last bit. It's nice to see I have been on the right track. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threads/67580-Safely-Modding-Your-3800

So far I have done the following:
Mods done(in process): Speed Daddy Headers, DIY CAI,180 tstat, TR6's @ .058", 660 Gatorback, 3.4MPS.

Here is a album of "Spyro" when I got him :th_winking:: https://imgur.com/a/6OFnz

Our manifold bolts don't usually break, no need for soaking them. The crossover bolts not that is an entirely different story. Both times I have done headers the crossover bolts snapped off.
