thanks everyone thought i was crazy for spending 110 on the humount kit but once they saw it in they changed their minds. i plan on getting the windows tinted soon 15% in the back and 35% up front. there is a rust spot that ive noticed is pretty common under the gas door that i have but im going to address that issue in the winter when i go back to school and work on it in the shop.

yay for orange accents. i like seeing something other than red (which i proudly sport like a tool)

ha thanks my buddy has a black and green durango and my brother has a black and red monte and i didnt feel like hearing him complain so i chose something a lil different.

I am planning on buying the black headlight housing and black corner lens but am unsure whether i want the black clear corners or the black orange corners, what do you guys think im kinda leaning toward the black and orange because of my color scheme.

i bought stock headlights from amazon (80 bucks for a pair) and snapped black corners from ebay. resault:

damn that looks nice! what color does the clear triangle light up when the turn signals are on?

what did you use to paint your grille? mine is more of a gray then black because its faded and i couldnt bring the color back with rubbing compound.

Re: MidwestGTP 1998 GTP UPDATED 8/14/11 Day time pics

they come with yellow-orange bulbs for the sidemarker.

regular canned spray paint for the grills. i did a crappy job too lol.

Re: MidwestGTP 1998 GTP UPDATED 8/14/11 Day time pics

thanks

Tune up, quick struts all the way around, tinted windows, black headlight housings, body work, paint, SD air dam, wheels, flowmaster mufflers, u bend delete, door speakers, and maybe a FWI. tune up and struts are first and then everything else isnt in a specific order.

i sanded and repainted my B pillar trim piece today because it was rusting and chipping.

Re: MidwestGTP 1998 GTP UPDATED 8/14/11 Day time pics

dont mess with a FWI. just build yourself a cheapo intake OR slap a cone filter on the TB. its really not worth doing a FWI.

if ur planning on getting new wheels, consider lowering the car. makes a huge difference.

Re: MidwestGTP 1998 GTP UPDATED 8/14/11 Day time pics

ive been reading that people who have lowered their cars are having clearance issues with the SD air dam and this car is my DD also.

either way with the intake will i have to adjust the computer at all or will it just be fine to put an intake on and go? been reading that the oiled air filters arent the best for the SC MAF sensors so im thinking about an amsoil dry filter, whats you opinion on that?

Re: MidwestGTP 1998 GTP UPDATED 8/14/11 Day time pics

imho sd dam isnt worth it. ur gonna beat it up anyways seeing how its your daily.

i daily mine and are about to drop on ssc's (1.4'' drop). u just gotta watch out for parking curbs more (same with sd air dam). theres a sticky thread on lowering with pictures in the suspension forum section.

no need to do a tune when doing a filter change. do stay away from oiled filters. amsoil filters are great, get them if you want. theres a deal on aem dryflow 4x9 filter on ebay ($20) that i run now. theres a writeup on a simple intake build in the how-to section.

Looking good. The black and orange looks good. If you go with black headlights I would get the one's with the orange corner. Just an FYI, the ebay black headlights have a smaller chrome reflector than the factory light and do it yourself painted headlights.
