No, Brandon, they most likely didn't. They never do. Damn Cairo, IL police and the damn Illinois State Police in Mattoon did that crap to my 98 Monte.

In the Jeep I had, I had 5% wrapped around the hole truck. I got pulled over and I wasn't even speeding. The police officer himself didn;t even understand the law. He said all of my windows were too dark and that none of the windows couldn;t be darker than 35 %. As we were sitting there I pointed to the car next to me and I said " if thats the case, why does the car next to me have 20% factory tint on the back window then?" He stammered over his words for a moment and then convinced me that he wasn't going to write me a ticket for the rear windows. To make a long story short, I did get a $120 ticket. But luckily for me I knew a cop and he signed the ticket saying that I had the tint removed that way I didn't have to get it peeled or pay the fine. So I took my happy ass to the cop shop windows tinted and all and walked right in and got the ticket handled. Its a scam... Want to get my car tinted but being black already, it would be just my luck that I would get a tint ticket in no time at all.
