Metro Detroit Area.?

Newbie from Detroit. Just got my first Grand Prix... Unfortunately it's an 01' SE. But I'm looking forward to making a lot of mods especially with the summer coming up. Any help around.?

just recently got my first gp also. its a 91 se coupe. live around metro detroit in warren to be exact. just put a couple mods on it. new fog lights and a new intake nothing too serious at the moment.

im from detroit area, got my 94 gp 2 years ago. those cars WILL last forever i promise. and itll be a collectors item in a few years :)

mine just blew a head gasket at 234,000 miles so they wont last forever. just a long time. mines a 91

lol, well 91-09 pretty much is forever. atleast for pontiac:th_laugh-lol3:

and yes for a late model car that is a long time but my 81 chevy pickup has over 550,000 miles on the original block. has only been rebuilt once at 82,000 miles when my dad stroked it to a 383 from a 350.

GM does it again. their cars are the only i know of so far that have any type of long life expectancy.

except for 04 and up. and my 73 cutlass just hit 250,000 miles yesterday. i had to stop where i was and take a picture of what it looks like at a quarter of a million miles lol. you know a diesel truck with 500,000 miles isnt even broken in yet lol. my dad has a 77 peterbuilt with 1.1 million miles.

where the HECK do you and your family DRIVE :th_scratchhead: lol

lol just a little bit. he bought it with 575,000 miles. also, i found out whats wrong with the gp. i left the valves in the head when i cleaned it and i poured cleaner into the intake ports. two of them no cleaner came out(good valves) the third one, all the cleaner poured out. and if you know anything about engine valves, you would know that there is supposed to be an air tight seal between the valve and the valve seal. which means that the cleaner shouldnt have poured out from the valve. which in turn means that my valve is bad.
