• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Anyone know of his where abouts? If hes ok?

We have a business dealing that I have been working with him, around his recent problems, and had an agreement that should of been settled up on November 14th. I have sent him numerous Emails and PM's and they appear to be falling of def ears. His last log in states that he was last on Nov. 8th. Have not seen or heard from him since.

Does anyone locally know him on a personal level, that can contact him direct, and see if hes ok...and have him contact me please. I would greatly appreciate it.

I havn't heard from him. The site, www.iawbody.com is paid for by him but he must have missed the last payment because the site has been down for a few weeks now, he usually sees its down and gets it squared away right away. That's where I've always contacted him. He's a really good guy in person and has been talking about the parts he's sending off to you or you have, whatever happened he will make it right. GTP_SE might have more contact information for yah than I have.

I know hes a great guy from all our PM's back and forth, pretty straight forward and all. But just worried about him...and his rather large, expensive box I have sitting in my garage done ready to go...just waiting on payment to be made on it. I just don't want to see a whole year go by, and I'll be forced to sell his stuff on ebay or something to get my spent funds back.

I know hes had a few recent trouble some events, and he let me know he couldn't come through right away on his end, which is fine, I'm flexible, so I floated him a few months...and when he said he would contact me again...he never did, and when I looked him up, he hadn't been on here since the day after he sent that PM. So, thats why I'm worried...not good if he just drops off like that, just worried something could be or might be wrong. I just want to know hes alright...I could worry less about his parts right now.

Any info you could find would be helpful so I can stop worrying about my friend here. Thanks for chiming in though.

A whole lot of polishing and plating. Lets just say, he had to ship two big box's worth of car parts. Not my largest order ever...but its pretty up there in price that I paid in full back in October. Problem is, money out of my pocket...bills to pay etc. etc. etc. Hes not really standing me up, but being a no pay, I have about 3 others who flat out told me when I let them know their parts were all done, here is your total, they tell me, I already spent the money I set back for this, can I pay you after Christmas? Or, I don't feel like paying for it right now...Can I wait till after the holidays, I need to buy gifts.

Three people in one week did this, add Nick in there...and man did I take a huge hit in the pocket book in the past two/three months. If this keeps up, I'm going to require payment in full before any work is done for anyone. Or, just say screw it all together, and just not do this anymore, and ya..I'll release the names of those who stood me up on payments, cause they are the ones who pretty much will ruin it for the rest of you guys.

Lets just say...I have a lot of really neat expensive ported/modified parts I will be selling come this time next year for what I have in them. So...for example if somebody wants a VERY nice stage 2 TB all prettied up, or a super clean ass GenV...among many other things, keep your eyes open for my garage sale on ebay.

Sorry to sound like a dick about it all, but I really cant believe that all the other people (not Nick) gave me all these lame ass excuses, cause they don't want to pay for them at this time with Christmas coming up. Just boggles my mind they could do this. Names were written down...and they wont be getting my business ever again.

For Nick...what this whole thread is about, I just need to hear whats going on with him, and that hes ok and all. We'll settle up on payment from him later.

I hate it when the so called few bad apples ruin it for everyone else. Hope everything works out for you.

On that note, bonus time is coming up for me so if you put anything up for sale, post up here, I'd like to see what you have and whether or not I might be able to pick up a few things.

that sucks... from now on you should require up front payment. Too many deadbeats in this world these days anyways.

I just figured members from these clubs are all good to go. All the years I have been doing this for everyone, not once has anyone pulled this. Just all of a sudden, like...they changed their mind...or they are in fear of the country going into a recession or something and they want to save their money.

I normally have three unwritten rules after their items are done, and they are notified.
1. they have 30 days to pay in full from the day they are notified its completed.

2. after 30 days $5.00 a day storage fee will be applied for every day that passes unless prior arrangements have been made with me personally.

3. after sitting/storing for one year to the day of the anniversary of them being notified its completed, The parts will be sold to cover my expenses...obviously at a loss when you figure in the storage fee per day after 11 months worth, but who ever buys them would get a damn good deal on the item, cause there would be no core, example, who wouldn't want a FULLY ported and polished GenV thats performance ready, and car show shinny for $350.00 ready to go.

I tell every customer upfront if they ask when to expect these to be done. Its usually hit or miss by a couple of days. But on average, I have their stuff for at least 3 weeks. Its not like I tell them a year to be completed, and then I tell them a day later its done, and you owe me a million dollars and they get hit with a "surprise" of a sooner than expected bill and never had time to set some back, or had the funds ready but spent it.

I'm just like :th_scratchhead: right now.

I was putting up Christmas stuff today, and came across his original box's that he mailed all his stuff in. On the box was a phone number along with the return address. I gave it a call, and it went straight to an automated recording which just said the phone number again, and leave a message after the tone.

You guys that are up in that area, whats your area code? I dialed 319, curious to know if this was Nicks cell, or the shipping company's number.

Regardless, left a message, and a call back number. I at least want to get in touch with him.

I honestly have no idea where he is and am kinda worried. I know he might have had a health problem that he just announced, something about his heart but not sure how serious that was. His site has been down for over a month now.

319 is central iowa area code

Well, he has logged in since the last time we PMed.

No new postings though. :th_scratchhead:

Surely his PM was flashing at him when he signed in that said he ad __# of unread PM's.

Last time I ever got a PM from him on our dealing was 10-11-2008, 06:55 PM

One by one, they are leaving my garage.

Parts are now mine, selling them for exactly what I have invested in them. Should charge more and pull a profit for all the BS, but I just want what I am out back in full.
