Massive water leak

Hello, Just signed up on the forum. I'm trying to fix my brothers 2004 grand prix 3.8L. He has been having a lot of issues with it lately. Well the car recently broke down due to a bad battery. So its been sitting outside for a couple days until i could come fix it. The car is in Jefferson City and its been getting in the low teens over night. The car has had a water leak which im pretty sure is coming from the elbows. But I just got the car running today. When I try to fill up the water to check for the elbow leak. The water pours out as fast as I can pour it in.

It looks like the leak is coming from the front head inbetween the block and head. Is there any hoses or anything that might cause this? I'm wondering if the water froze in the head/block and cracked it. He was only putting water back in because the other water leak was pretty decent but he was still having to drive the car. The car has never over heated. He kept a pretty good eye on it.

Is there anything else in this area that might cause this huge water leak? It drains right above the a/c compressor bracket. Looks like on the block. The main lower hose is still intact.

Thanks for any help.

This pic (thanks to Billboost) show the freeze/core plug locations the engine is upside down
Water itself isnt good to put in regardless if it freezes or not. Weather or not it cracked something hard to tell. Probably pushed out a freeze/core plug though and thats where its leaking....are there freeze plugs on the 3800 S2? - 3800Pro.com Forum

Looking at that pic I would think that the right side freeze plug might be pushed out. There is a lot of water coming down that side right by the sensor. Thanks for the pic. I'll take a look at it tomorrow.
