Yupp, finally lost to someone. I didn't think it would be that bad but he raped me. In my defense it was from like 65 and thats deff not the GPs sweet spot. I wanna find him again and run him from 40. Anyone know what they run in the quarter? I think he had an exhaust thats all I could tell. Some older guy in a business suit lol.

In the 5.0's defense, you're still gonna get raped even from your "sweet spot".:th_jester:
 
yeah I can't wait till a couple of years are past and today's car's are a bit cheaper so i can get my hands on one of these, maybe an srt8, camaro or mustang. We can beat them today with modded GTPs, but the stock versions only, the modded versions would be tough... or maybe we should all go twin turbo today and not worry about it.
 


i'd be interested to see what mods he had, your setup is good for low 13's on a bad day and you're right, you got walked lol. ford did damn well with the new 5.0
 
By no means do I think they are the end all be all, but I'm really loving the new 5.0 right now. What they can do with minor bolt on, tires, and some light suspension work is very impressive to me. Then again, I guess I'm used to slow fords, so I'm easily impressed.
 




While I'll take nothing from the new 5.0, that **** is about as showroom stock as a foxbody on anystreet USA nowadays. Props to Ford for getting in the game, uh... 17 years too late.
