It is a Sand Cherry...and yes it is possible to cut off branches and have it grow into another bush.

Also you might do the bush a favor by pulling the weeds around it.. helping enrichen the soil and ....maybe giving it a bit o water

My sand cherry actually produces 1 cherry every summer. It's doesn't good tho....

I'm going to eventually lay the weed barrier cloth and mulch and a border around this...but it takes time and $$$. They were just watered earlier that day by the wife and we just went through a ton of rain.

Yup, I figured that is what they were after. I'll look for the person next year that has little Sand Cherry bushes and give them a cut

I'd say it is towards the middle of my property, so definite intentions of doing this were premeditated.
