magnasteer clarification

This is clarify some stuff with magnasteer as ive heard nothing but misinformation for the last year.

Myth: a mag rack is horrible to steer in a non mag rack car or if its unhooked. 97 and earlier mag racks are the only racks that applies to. 98+ racks are the exact opposite: i installed an 01 regal rack in my 97 monte carlo. I ended up kinking the ps line just so i could gay a lil bit or road feel.

Myth : a ge n 2 rack iz a direct bolt in on gen 1 w. You HAVE to change the outer tie rods.




Ive been running the 01 regal rack for 5 monthes(or 10k milez: no wiring no issues.
 


The second one isn't really a myth. IMO The outter tie rods are not part of the rack and pinion. If you go to the parts store and buy a rack 99% of the time the tie rod ends (or outter tie rods) are not gonna come with it.
