MAF problems on GTP

I have a GTP. My MAF sensor went out recently, i took it out and sprayed the MAF cleaner on it. It didnt work so i decided to get a new one. After installing, it still didnt work. I checked the fuses and it was blown. I took it to zzp and they said that the O2 sensor wiring was burnt because it was rested on my headers. during this time i am getting horrible Gas mileage. (10MPG). I took the o2 out and redid the wiring, it runs much better and is getting alot better gas mileage 20+. But the MAF Code still pops up and the car does not run right at WOT. Should i return the MAF and get a new one or......thanks!

also check the wires to the maf plug, they get heated up and the insulation cracks, bad wires, same code as a bad maf.

I Just went to autozone and exhanged my old MAF with a new one, the code is still up. It also reads a turbine sensor, and a crackshaft sensor.

so a maf, the crank and the EVAP.

the crank sensor, start wrenching and change it. heres the how to. http://www.grandprixforums.net/crankshaft-position-sensor-replacement-2-698.html

the maf re check the wires to the plug, bend it back at the plug, to see if the wires are showing at all where they should be sealed off.

if you have cracks the wires gets whats known as dry wire, the wire becomes dark brown, not shinny copper any more, and no longer passes current correctly, and throws the code for the maf.

the EVAP, i dont have any experience fixing. but it could be as simple as a gas cap from what i've read here.
