MAF problem 2001 Grand Prix GT V6

Need help as to why my car keeps going thru maf's. I have been thru 5 in the past 2 years. Have been to 4 different mechanic shops for codes. No codes when maf is plugged in. Car may run fine for a week then goes right back to chugging and dieing. Mechanic replaced wiring harness to maf, still the same problem. Very frustrating:th_yawning:! Have been running with the maf unplugged for about 7 months now. Any suggestions?

Are these new MAF's from the dealership or are they from autozone or something?

1st 2 were from Auto Zone and the last 3 have been from Bennett Auto Supply which are $60.00 more expensive than Auto Zone.
