Maf p0101 code WIth a Reduced Engine Code p0068

I am having an issue with my 2005 Grand prix. It displays the Maf code p0101 and the reduced Engine power code p0068

Now when I start the car I try to rev it up and it does not rev. It is acting like the butterfly or the throttle body is stuck. IT will not rev.

Also the traction control is turned off is turned off also.

Could this be a simple MAF issue or do you think it may be a deeper issue than this?

I am going to try to unplug the MAF and see what happens.

WHat other things could I try to find the smoking gun for these issues?

Thanks

Shane

Check the black rubber T-fitting directly under the supercharger snout (if SC'd) and all connecting vacuum lines coming from it. My T dry rotted and feel off and I had the exact same issue. It wouldn't even stay running longer than 20seconds.

No Luck on unplugging the MAF sensor. It seems the throttle does not respond at all. I push the throttle with my foot nothing happens. It is like the throttle body is stuck. Not moving at all??

How can I test the throttle body sensor?

Would a clogged cat causing these issues also?

Check your exhaust tips for a whitish or silverish or light tanish powder/dust in and or around the tips. That's a sure way to see a failing cat.

You cleared the reduced power code, thus allowing the car to run again.

But the codes will likely return and you will have to figure out what the problem is. I'd just assume the MAF sensor is the issue as that is your other code.
