M90 block off plate question

Probably a stupid question, but why do you need to an M90 block off plate to turbo a gtp?

The block off plate gets rid of the snout and the rotor pack. The main point of it is to eliminate the rotor pack as it causes restriction when it isn't spinning.

So how does the supercharger work if the engine no longer powers it with the pulley?

It doesn't... you are replacing the supercharger with a turbocharger.

A better solution is to use a modded l26 lim, with the injector bungs filled in, and a l26 upper intake manifold with a hv3 insert.
