LS4 gauge install question

Yea I'll let y'all know. I just wanted some input from more experienced gauge install people. The oil pressure sensor us very easy to get to as well. It's right below the TB

i tired with a few buddies and failed haha, but easiest way to go is to buy and oil filter adapter it screws in were ur oil filter is and then u screw the oil fiulter on to it and u go from there.. it's all through glow shift

I'll look that up online later when I get onto a computer and look. My thing is the oil filter is right beside oil pan so adding an insert would put it close to the ground

ok so if i can get the correct filter sandwich adapter i am going to install an oil pressure gauge, oil temp gauge, and a coolant temp gauge with an aero force gauge in the top air vent next to drivers side door. If anyones got any better gauge i should install instead of the above let me know. and if anyone knows the correct oil filter sandwich adapter than let me know...if not im gonna call em tomorrow

Oil temp gauges are not needed, the oil doesnt ever get hot enough to ever worry about anything.

The aeroforce does coolant temp, would be a waste to buy a seperate gauge.

yea i knew the aeroforce gauge does but i cant think of what gauges to add to the pillar pod beside oil pressure and aeroforce and they only make a pod with three spots and i dont really want one just empty...any better ones to put. i have no SC so cant really put a boost gauge

IF youre hell bent on oil presseure which IMO is a waste as the PCM would shut down the engine anyway if low oil pressure ever happened, but since the one you want is electric you shouldnt have to modify anything, just wire the sender fore gauge into the OPSU pigtail. and bam theres your signal output. honestly a aeroforce is all you would need to monitor the things you need to know.I would be looking at something like this 3383.jpg
simple and effective for everyday driving. My old GTP had a 3 pod on the A pillar and there cool at first but having that **** there everyday gets kind of annoying.

I read a couple threads on gmls4 and 1 on ls1 tech that they tapped into the stock sensor which is super easy to get to and it was reading wrong on the gauge. But I wanna get a pillar gauge pod cause I'm not a big fan of the in vent look. And the only pod available is a 3 gauge pod. So basically I want some useful gauges I can put in along with the aeroforce

Gotcha well another option is autozones single and double universal gauge pods you could purchase for 15 bucks and then mold them on your a pillar I did that on my gtp really was easy to do and came out really good that way you don't have to buy a ****load of gauges JUST to fill up space

im terrible with molding things. i tried with a heat gun and a practice pillar i got from junk yard and failed miserable. but if i could find 1 more useful gauge than ill be fine. im pretty sure an oil pressure and aeroforce gauge are gonna be a good buy and easy to install both after checking out glowshift.com. i figured out which sandwich adapter i would need so thats solved. so really i only need 1 more gauge

would you mind sharing which adapter is needed !! ?? hahah thanks. if you got one space there is allways a second aero force u could use.. i like the air vent look.

You will need the 13/16-16 Oil filter adapter.

That's what they sent me. I already ordered it since shipping was free. I'm gonna wait till I get all the gauges and change the oil and all at once.

ok so what about a fuel pressure guage? ive decided im still gonna go with the 3 gauge pilliar from zzp just cause i like the way the looks way better than the one in the vent on drivers side. and the fuel pressure one looks very easy to install. As far as i can tell itll just screw onto the fuel rail and obviously put some Teflon tape on the threads to prevent leaks just like on the oil pressure electric sender unit

this is the fuel pressure guage im looking at. comes with everything needed
Tinted 7 Color 100 PSI Fuel Pressure Gauge

and the oil pressure one
Tinted 7 Color Oil Pressure Gauge

oil filter sender adapter sandwich thingy
Oil Filter Sender Adapter - 13/16-16 Thread

and i figured for 10 more bucks id grab this just to save me a little wiring
7 Color Gauge Series Extended Sensor Wiring Harness
