lowered car and vibration with accel and shortened dog bones? Bouncing..

Hi all, I just picked up a 2000 GTP and the previous owner lowered the car. I drove the car to work for the first time today and it was scary! When i would hit bumps i would feel the vibration smooth out when the car was on the up bounce but when it went down it got worse. I figured that the dog bones would cure this. I came home after work and put the shortened dog bones on it and its still vibrating but nearly as bad. The suspension feels like its bottoming out on some bumps but i also think I have a bad axle shaft. What is the best way to see if the struts are shot and the best way to figure out if the axle is bad?

Thanks!!!

What springs were used to lower it?

Im not exactly sure. Its a guy I work with so I can ask him but right now he has major health issues so he hasn't been in and I didn't want to bother him with it. He seems to think its the passenger side axle shaft because he said it didnt do it right after the lowering but hes not sure. I do know that it felt worse when I would take a right turn but I don't want to start replacing parts that don't need to be replaced.
