low volts on throttle positioning sensor????

i have a code reading low voltage to throttle positioning sensor. i am told it is why my transmission shifts at 4000 rpm all gears.. can anyone help on an easy fix or diagnosis... already replaced sensor and still the same..
 


The 5v reference is generated by a voltage regulation circuit in the PCM. Start by checking your connectors for corrosion. Got a pinout for your PCM? You can check the voltage at the source if you need to. Also check your ground stud under the battery tray and the main engine ground wiring.
 
Unplug the TPS sensor, drive it see what it does. If it drives fine, its a bad TPS replace it. NO WOT WITHOUT A GOOD WORKING TPS!!! Been there, done that. Good luck....
 
thanks for all the help and info... after working on it i found that my OLD mechanic put the tps in wrong i pulled it off and put it in right and all is good... so thanks to all...
