Low Oil Light after an Oil Change

Hey guys. Simple as that I get a Low Oil Light sometimes when I drive, not every time. Could this be a sensor issue? Also, where is the sensor?

Have you checked the oil to make sure it's actually full?

If it's full and you're still getting the light then the oil level sensor is located on the front of the pan. It's the big nut thing that is screwed into the edge of the pan. Can't miss it. Also check the wiring going to it to be sure it's not screwed up and causing a false light.

Its probably an oil pressure light. I don't know of any car that has an actual low oil light.

If it is low oil pressue then its one of two things.

The sensor is acting funky, or you are on your way to a spun bearing.

Ok guys Finally popped up the car and took a look. Here is what I see:

That is the Oil level sensor the wires are suposta be attached to. Where can I buy this harness? I will just strip and attach the loose wires to the new harness.

id hit up a junk yard for that.

or you could try e bay for someone who sells pig tails, thats how i got my maf pig tail for my car, cost like 10 bucks shipped.

Found the part at the Junk Yard. 1st time to a junk yard. Really Fun. Snipped it and sodered and taped it to my car. $2 fix, NICE!!!

Yup I clipped the new pigtail from a car at the junk yard and attached it to the loose wires seen in the picture. Everything works fine, no "Low Oil Level" light. Still not sure why the wires broke at that place.

From your pic, it looks like the brown wire is smashed at the harness end. Almost like someone tried jacking it up and missed.
