low fuel light

hi
i have grnad prix 95 SE
my qustion is how much fuel left on low fuel light in the tank

when this light is on, my fuel gauge show allmust emptey
how is could be ? its supposed to light on when its have cuple gal left

so who i need to belive the light or the fuel gauge?

on the 97-03 i believe it is 1.5 gallons. it could be as much as 3 though since all cars are built with a retard buffer into the gas tanks so you wont run them out of gas.
 
I typically have around 4 gallons left when the light comes on. As Bio said, every car is different.
