Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hi all I`m new to your site.... I have a 2002 GP GT with 107,000 miles that I am about to do the infamous gasket change on the intake. I also figure that it can`t hurt to change the lifters while I have the motor opened up. So my questions is....

Where should I go to get the best parts at the best price ?

:th_scratchhead:

welcome to the site. use felpro gaskets from advance auto parts and don;t use dexcool anymore. just curious but why change your lifters?

Thanks for the welcome and info.......I am not doing the lifters, no need.
I ended up buying the Dorman set up for the top and the Felpro lower gasket plus a new belt, air filter, oilf filter and a few other things on Amazon.com for less than $180...great deal.

Any other tips and advise to make this job easier would be appreciated......thanks.32

use a good sealer on your coolant elbows and make sure vacuum lines are good to go and again! stay away from dexcrap!!!!!!!!

is the felpro gasket metal? If not, get the GM one.

Dexcool will only **** you if you don't change it, leave air in the system, or mix it with the green sh*t.

Also, try the general tech section before posting. Better yet, post there instead. :p
