Lost Pressure on S/C???

Well I was installing my Speed Daddy headers and when i tilted the engine foward this hose with the green cap came disconnected and i heard pressure being released. I didn't think anything of it, but now the car studders and losses boost, and i can hear pressure leaking from this area. Could this be the reason I have no boost? Also, what is it called? The L67 hose is what connects to it.

Yeah, that's the biggest vacuum line on the motor for the brake booster.

Replace that quickly, you could be even lose your vacuum assisted brakes if the line comes all the way off.

I can hear hissing after i turn off the motor, i cant tell if it is this, or if it is coming off the EGR valve. Would this cause low boost though? I'm not even hitting half boost on the gauge.

After looking more into it it seems that it is coming from the egr tube coming off of the headers. is there a way to remove all this without taking the headers out again?

Hissing noise on EGR side of motor

I installed my SD Headers and no I am getting low boost. I noticed when I shut off the car, I can hear a hissing sound on the EGR side of the motor, sounds like it is coming from near the fire wall. I know there are fuel lines that run along there. There is also one of the b-nuts, the green one, that isn't connected. Is there a vacuum line that is on this side of the motor? Or is it possible that it could be one of the fuel lines relieving pressure.

Re: Hissing noise on EGR side of motor

headers lower your boost. so thats normal, (time for that 3.4 puley)

the hiss could be the brake booster, play with the hose to it, see if you can make it hiss louder or something.

My tank range dropped as well, which makes me think I'm running lean, and that makes me believe it's a fuel line even though there isn't fuel anywhere. I've tried playing with the brake booster and it doesn't do anything.

if you have a tuner, you can unplug the evap purge solenoid and disable all the P0440ish codes, it sounds to me that you have a vacuum leak from those lines. you could also have an exhaust leak from the egr, which would also cause a lean fuel condition, and your range could diminish

I've thrown a P0442 code, which is an Evap leak, as I'm sure you guys know. Is there anyone in the Omaha area with a tuner? If not I'll just buy my own. What tuner should I look at?
