lost only key for 06 grand prix SE

hi, I lost my only key. I can get a key cut from the dealer but have to tow car there to get the key programmed. Would anyone know of a way to program the key from home. I would really love to save the cost of tow and programming if its possible

your only other option is a mobile lock smith who does cars and keys and reprogramming, most do it all. still not cheap tho, will be a couple hundred at least.
 
I didn't have to have the car towed in when I lost my only key. But you have to pay a hefty fee for the dealer to look up your security codes (or something) to create a new master key. Once you have the code though, you can have master keys created for less but you are best off programming a few keys on your own once you have the master key made.
 
ya that's what I am going to do. I got the masterkey done at the dealer but I am going to cut some more since I have the master. ty stocker
