lost of power need good advice

my 98 gtp is kind of slow not fast as a 3.8 s/c. i know that i need sparkplugs . when i punch it car dont downshift stays in same gear.is weak sometimes.. help

possably a cat issue maybe fuel filter
personally id do new plugs fuel filter a trand flush / filter and have the cat checked

Wait, you have a gtp but its not supercharged? Thats why its slow. Hopefully punching the gas and your car not downshifting as your gaining speed.....? Hopefully that doesn't mean your tranny is going pooh.

hey sdgtp99 my gtp is supercharged i havent see a gtp that isnt supercharged:th_skull: and no my tranny is not busted,i mean that the car is rolling at 35or 40 mph and you punch the gas it suposed to down shift to closet gear. isnt that the passingear for? well my car does all of that but is kind of weak. doyou think that da cat is clogged?
