Loss Of Stoplight Torque

Hello fellow enthusiasts! I have been having an issue with my car for as far back as I remember. I've owned it for almost 8 years, and it runs pretty well for the most part. Here's the deal: whenever I try to take off fast from a standstill, it seems to have very little torque at first; I can usually only break traction a little if I slam it on top of the painted line. Otherwise, it just slugs up to speed, gaining most of its acceleration around 4500 rpm. Other GTP owners here have no issue breaking traction, so I know it isn't just the 4600 ft altitude. So far, I have have replaced the PCM(Overkill), MAF, MAP, TPS, CPS, FPR,fuel filter, spark plugs(new 104s), and messed around with the boost bypass. I have also tried capping off the line to the boost control solenoid, and removing it to see if its bad. I've made no measurable progress.Again, compared to other 97-03 GTPs with similar bolt-ons, I'm slower in the 1/4 mile. 15.5 was my best on a stock tune and 3.4 pulley, it won't do that on the new tune so I run a modular 3.8. Any ideas as to what the real problem is are welcome. Thanks!

It's not so much the acceleration once I'm rolling; I can't spin the wheels on the street under almost any circumstance. My wife's automatic 02 maxima is stock other than a drop-in K&N, and it will spin through most of first gear. I can brake-torque to around 3000 rpm, and the trans still slips enough to keep all traction; does that mean my torque converter is going? 129k miles, all original trans, and I know it's supposed to go soon...😧

If it won't spin the tires with the TCS off, then you definitely have a problem. Have you checked fuel pressure or exhaust back-pressure?

If you don't have low-end torque, but still pull at 15.5, it sounds like your cam timing is off. Maybe jumped a tooth?

I'd find this very hard to believe. If a tooth was skipped, you'd know it. There would plenty more wrong with the car than just a sluggish feeling. You can just toss a cam in these things and go.

It's something else; like stated.

Stock cam, and my fuel pressure is about 47 psi with the pump I just put in. Fuel delivery isn't an issue, I have brand new Delco plugs and wires, so I think ignition is fine. I'm pretty sure I'm losing power somewhere between the engine and the wheels, especially the way it only happens off the line. It pulls enough that I'll get wheelspin if I go WOT on a wet road at 45mph, but off the line its just lazy.
