The mods as listed (dealer not 100% sure of mods) indicate: Cold Air Intake, Performance Header Exhaust and down pipe, Full Dual Exhaust Magnaflow set up, Red lowered Koni shocks, BMR Front & Rear Sway Bars, MSD wires, 4 Like New Bridgestone Potenza 265/60/16 Tires.

Do those mods sound accurate? I am going to look at the car tomorrow. What would be a fair price to offer?

Looks like a nice car aside from I don't really like the spoiler everything else looks good. What are they asking for the car right now?

I don't know man, u never know what your getting buying a modded car... Imo your better off building one up on your own, at least then you know what your getting yourself into.

Looks like a nice car, condition wise, but if you do get it. Trash that spoiler :P As for the accuracy of the price, I can't help you on that one. I tend to try and go by KBB. Mods can only add so much to the vehicle and we all know we rarely make back what's been put on it.

^^ 99prixgt has a point too. At least if you get one that's bone stock you know what's been done... or hasn't been done rather.

Imo, if 3500 was NOT alotof money to me for a car, if I knew my way around a car and didn't have to always pay for repairs, if that was NOT my only vehicle, and I wanted a car to "play around" with then buy it.
If none of the above applies, then I wouldn't mess with it.
Just my opinion.

the car is only boosting 5psi...what is stock boost? i imagine it's at least 10...what symptoms or things might cause it to run at half boost?

Personally I wouldn't buy a previously modded car...especially from a dealership.
But it looks like its in decent condition, if you get it ditch that spoiler though :p

10psi is 3.4" pulley territory. IF that is a smaller pulley on it than it has no much knock that is is pulling out that much power...it is a ticking time bomb...if it has the stock pulley...it is about right...5-7psi is typical for stock.

But the more I look at it...and guys that know jump in here...isn't that a friggen GenV with a smaller pulley?!!?!? Holy crap knock out the azz...only reason I ask is because the snout design looks like a GenV.

Good eye, it does have a GENV.

I donno, i'd bring a scanner and make sure its in good running order first. It has all the right bolt ons. The Pulley is questionable, but it might have a mild cam (VS maybe?) or rockers so it might be tuned enough to run that pulley. A scanner will tell you for sure, i'm sure it has some sort of tune on it.

oh yeah that is a genV. I didn't even notice until you said something. Whats with all the complaints about smaller pulleys and genV make more KR? I don't understand, if the genV is more efficient than a genIII how would you get more KR on a genV with the same size pulley. I have a genV with 3.8" pulley on my L36 and have no KR at all.

Bare with me here, im just trying to understand this.

If both the genIII and the GenV have 3 lobes on each rotor and the only difference is the lobe rotor coating on the genV and just a overall a slightly better flowing case, how would the genV create more boost on the same size pulley?

Just something about the GenV since it is more efficient...look at it like this...

Running knock free on a 3.6" setup on a GenV will make as much horsepower as a knock free GenIII 3.4" setup...basically you have to compensate for the more efficient blower. Or...use something to even the playing field...I.E., meth, IC, more flow mods such as headers...it'll make the same power using a larger pulley...but if you drop too much it'll make more heat quicker...does that help?

ohh i see what your saying now, yes that does help clear this up a bit :th_thumbsup-wink:

i agree with this... especially the thing aabout the spoiler! just slap a slp gen 1 on there

Yeah, buying a previously modded car can be a big hit or a miss. Although alot of the times it can be a big miss. Sometimes people get rid of a modded car for a reason, if you know what I mean. It could be in perfect running order, or it could have chipped pistons, you don't know.

All I can say, if you plan on buy it, better have some money put away for an engine, tranny, and misc parts. If you luck out and end up getting a good car, more power to you, and you'll have money in the bank or play money. If something goes wrong, don't *****, you got yourself in this thing, Fix it up and move on. Thats the best advice I can give ya.

If it were me and it was local, i'd look it over and maybe consider it if it was cheap enough. Although my plain for it would be short and sweet.... I'd completely demod it and return it to stock (since I have all the parts neccessary here to do that), clean it up, and resell it. I'd use some of the mods for myself (GEN V) then sell off the rest.
