seems zzp is a little slow on there response time for emails...below is a copy of the emails i sent with yet a response was hoping everyone here would make sure i head in the right direction.

looking to mildly mod my car for it is still going to be a fair weather driver.

i was thinking of headers ossible down pipe pulley cold air plugs thermostat tune
Not all particularly in that order but i know i need to start with headers... and i already have an aeroforce scanner . apparently i don't have a ubend problem so im assuming i dont need a downpipe. i am currently looking at putting in new valve seals and intake gaskets(which i already purchased). while doing so i wanted to put in a header. but as you know people talk alot of crap. i would like to install your headers but fear fitment issues. i guess what i'm looking for is a little extra reassurance from you guys personally as well as for any extra information or parts that i should have on hand... tricks to make sure install is done correctly by your standards.. aftermarket vs stock exhaust donuts and or anything else i may be missing. i was also hoping you would make sure that i am headed in the right direction. doing things in the proper order and time. i don't wanna be mislead by the already mislead. lol

i feel like just adding mods is a bad idea ... i know there's some things to do before others (besides buying everything at once is hard on the pocket book) i am no master mechanic but i do a lot of work on my racing quads so i am familiar with how motors work. but this.. this is all new and exciting! i dont like screwing up and learning the hard way id rather ask questions first so please always correct me. however back on point.


so i start with headers and a scanner. whats next ..and how do we determine whats next i don't like the idea of guess work example.... well since you have headers and cold air intake you should be running blah blah blah spark plugs and blah thermostat ... or do you say okay bret now that you have such and such parts installed lets get some number from you off your scanner.and then we can determine what your going to need to do for the next step in the modding process. or am i just way way over thinking everything because im not quiet that well informed yet. yall can laugh at me its cool i get it lol im a rookie and what not but asking you i believe is much better then to keep relying on false info from Facebook crap. thank for listening hope i made sense and i look forward to working with you guys.

okay so i read this a few months ago and i had forgotten about it .. there is some really great info here... but i curious to a little more detailed info... for instance..
i am doing top and bottom intake gaskets, basically a complete upper gasket kit, 90 degree coolant elbow, 180 thermostat, ZZp headers(which means i do not have to worry about a downpipe correct?) i already have a cone filter on the end of my maf sensor for "CAI" ,

now how do i determine the appropriate plugs and pulley that will compliment these mods.... and then i am assuming overkill will program my PCM to my mods.. can i give over kill a bin file with my scanner readings so they can tune accordingly .. do they recommend a pulley size or is that something we need to determine ahead of time... i have read some saying i should use a 3.6 pulley not drop to a 3.4.... and then of course sounds like to me pulley size also helps decide plugs...?

are there reading i can get from my scan tool after doing the initial mods to help determine what plugs and pulley to use as well as help overkill do a tune?

like i mentioned before im not a fan of the idea of lets just throw some parts together every car is a little different.
 


When your order your tune from Overkill just make sure you tell him what you're running now and what you're planning on doing. He'll give you a good tune for those mods.

As far as pulley, with headers, tune and intake, on your car go with a 3.6 mps. You should be able to run mostly knock free on that with those mods. Autolite 104's ONCE YOU PULLEY DOWN. Keep stock til then.
