Hey guys! I'm driving a 2006 grand prix GXP edition and I need both rear break shields! Any recommendations on where to get these?! Unfortunately GM discontinued the part! I've been looking everywhere! :(

Do you have a junkyard nearby? If you're lucky a GXP might be in there. But have you tried like RockAuto or other parts stores? They might have something.

Hey, thanks for responding! I've called rock auto, victory, and even summit racing and I haven't found anything. I've also tried a junk yard near the area and the one they had was rusted. I've also tried emocats.com and found lists of places all over the US and left various emails/voicemails! It's a waiting game from here I guess.

you can easily use the rear shield for a standard Grand Prix it just won't be as big of a diameter as the GXP shield but will function perfectly fine

James is Correct. Any 97-03 W body backing plate will work for you. Everybody that swaps GXP Brakes just the smaller backing plate without problems

make sure its from a std GP, the rear spindles and shields must not be from the comp G. they are different....had to swap on the "hat type" parking brake spindles to use the GXP rears on that swap...

its been forever since ive looked at an 06+ rear and see if they are all hat brakes or caliper integral parking brakes.

that is why I said 97-03, they all used the Parking brake Horseshoe instead of the internal caliper like the 04+'s non GXP
